Hello Ninja - Seasons 1 and 2

This page contains a small selection of DMP assets I created for Atomic Cartoons on their show: Hello Ninja. My primary toolset was Photoshop, Nuke, Maya, and Katana to deliver painterly assets that matched the existing style of the show.

Pirate Episode: Ocean Cloudscape Skydome

4x1 latlong for open ocean sequences, I painted this skydome from scratch while referencing Hawaiian and Montana vistas for scale cues

Space Episode: Earth and Moon

Earth DMP: Responsible for the Earth and nebulous space background. I setup and rendered the show's library of clouds from Houdini in shot context as a base for painting and pushing clouds closer to the show style.

Moon: Nuke-projection setup shown in Comp. For client buyoff during Layout approvals, I supplied the initial sequence environment lighting and Nuke setups for the "Moon Approach" shots.

Earth: My concept painting for the "Return to Earth" shot that was delivered for episode kickoffs and Editorial.

Winter Episode: Real World Skydome

4x1 latlong of "Real World" Winter Sunset Skydome, I modified the daytime variant of this skydome to a winter golden hour, trees were based off asset renders and painted to look like winter evergreens
