Hi there!
My name is Chris Van Noy-March, a visual effects professional specializing in compositing and digital matte painting (DMP) for film and episodics. Since 2017, I have worked in Australia and Canada in both live action and stylized features. My primary skillsets include: environment/DMP creation, plate reconstruction, set extension, beauty/retouch, 2D + CG asset integration into footage plates, and CG paintovers.
Prior to transitioning into the film industry, I was a Senior Digital Media Designer for a US-based news organization that also served as an internet advertising platform for local-news market consumers. I led and trained junior artists on proprietary toolsets for specialist tasks, complex 2D web animation deliveries, and bespoke client requests. In addition to my time in digital advertising, I freelanced as an animator and CG generalist for various VR/AR family exhibitions and indie startups. All of these experiences helped prepare me for my leap into the film industry, which began in Sydney, Australia, working on the Peter Rabbit cg/live action hybrid film.
